Talk: Prototyping
I recently returned to my alma mater to deliver a talk to the current group of students undertaking their final year project at the University of Melbourne. The focus of the talk was prototyping - what a good prototype is, what it achieves, and how to develop one.
The key definition I chose to use for the talk was:
A disposable artifact that can be created quickly and easily in order to answer a specific question about your project.
The slides struggle a bit outside the context of the talk, but you can download them as a PDF here: Prototyping.
Hopefully, I’ll find some time to organise and properly write up the speaker’s notes.
